Competition Guidelines

Rules

Eligibility

  • Open to all registered attendees of the Xenopus 1 Cold Spring Harbor conference.
  • Images and videos must be original work produced by the entrant or their laboratory.
  • Previously published material is permitted provided the entrant holds appropriate rights.

Submission Requirements

  • Each submission may include multiple images and/or videos.
  • Accepted image formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF. Accepted video formats: MP4, MOV.
  • A descriptive caption and imaging method must accompany every entry.
  • Entries must be assigned to one of the following categories:
Fluorescence Microscopy
Brightfield / Histology
Live Imaging
Developmental Biology
Cellular / Subcellular Detail
Xenopus-Specific Highlight

Judging & Prizes

  • Submissions are reviewed by a panel of judges after the submission deadline.
  • Scores are private and not displayed publicly during judging.
  • Winners will be announced after all judges have completed their evaluations.
  • Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place. Payment details are collected at submission time.

Image Use & Archive

  • By submitting, entrants grant the conference permission to display entries in the public archive and in conference communications.
  • Submissions are preserved in the long-term competition archive for scientific reference.
